Guest & Child Policy

Jacaranda Bush Camp welcomes families and guests of all ages. Our child rates are determined by the child’s age, room occupancy and whether the child is sharing with adults or occupying a separate room.

Guest age categories

  • Infant: 0–2 years
  • Child: 3–11 years
  • Adult: 12 years and above

The guest’s age on the check-in date determines the applicable category and rate.

Infants aged 0–2

A maximum of two infants may stay free when sharing accommodation with at least one adult.

Infants:

  • Are not charged an accommodation fee.
  • Must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Cannot occupy a room without an adult.
  • Remain subject to the room’s maximum occupancy.

Any special sleeping arrangements or infant equipment should be requested before arrival and remain subject to availability.

Children aged 3–11 sharing with two adults

A maximum of two children may share with two adults.

Each child is charged 50% of the adult-sharing rate. This produces the following room calculation:

  • Two adults and one child: double-room rate plus 25%.
  • Two adults and two children: double-room rate plus 50%.

One adult and one child

When one child shares with one adult, the child is charged the same sharing rate as the accompanying adult.

The total charge is therefore equivalent to the applicable double-room rate.

Two children in their own room

Two children aged 3–11 occupying a private room without adults are charged a combined total of 75% of the applicable double-room rate.

Infants cannot be included in a children-only room because every infant must be accompanied by an adult.

Guests aged 12 and above

Any guest aged 12 years or above is considered an adult and is included in the room’s adult occupancy.

A maximum of three adults may occupy one Standard Room, Tent, Superior Cottage, Deluxe Cottage or Tree Room.

Single Accommodation

Single Accommodation is available for:

  • One adult.
  • One adult with one infant.
  • One adult with up to two infants.
  • One adult with one child.

Infants stay free. When one child shares the Single Accommodation with one adult, the child is charged the same rate as the accompanying adult.

Single Accommodation does not accept:

  • Two adults.
  • Children without an adult.
  • Infants without an adult.
  • More than one child.
  • One adult, one child and one infant.
  • More than two infants.

Unsupported combinations

Some combinations cannot be confirmed through the online booking system. These include four adults, three children in one room, infants without an adult and any selection exceeding the room’s capacity.

All child arrangements remain subject to room availability, safety requirements and confirmed occupancy limits.
