Room Occupancy Guide

Every accommodation category at Jacaranda Bush Camp has defined occupancy limits. Please select the correct number and age of guests when searching for accommodation.

The booking system will display a message when a selected combination cannot be accommodated safely or priced under the applicable policy.

Regular accommodation categories

The following occupancy rules apply to:

  • Standard Room
  • Tent
  • Superior Cottage
  • Deluxe Cottage
  • Tree Room

Permitted adult combinations

  • Two adults.
  • Three adults.
  • Two adults with one or two infants.
  • Three adults with one infant, subject to the four-guest limit.

Four adults cannot occupy one room.

Permitted family combinations

  • One adult and one child.
  • Two adults and one child.
  • Two adults and two children.
  • One adult with one or two infants.
  • One adult, one child and up to two infants, subject to maximum capacity.
  • Two adults, one child and one infant.
  • Two children occupying their own private room.

Infants are free but are still counted when determining the room’s total occupancy.

Children occupying their own room

A children-only private room must contain exactly two children aged 3–11.

The following are not permitted:

  • One child occupying a room alone.
  • An infant occupying a room without an adult.
  • Two children with an infant and no adult.
  • Three or more children in one room through the online booking system.

Single Accommodation occupancy

Single Accommodation is a separate category intended for solo travellers and limited parent-and-child arrangements.

Permitted combination Maximum occupancy

One adult + two infants 3 guests
One adult + one child 2 guests

Although its technical maximum is three guests, only the combinations listed above are permitted.

Single occupancy in other categories

Standard Rooms, Tents, Superior Cottages, Deluxe Cottages and Tree Rooms are not offered for single occupancy through the online booking system.

A guest travelling alone should select Single Accommodation.

Larger families and groups

Guests exceeding the occupancy limit must reserve additional rooms.

For example:

  • Four adults require at least two rooms.
  • Three children require an additional room or assistance from reservations.
  • Two adults and three children require at least two rooms.
  • Any party exceeding four guests must be divided between suitable accommodation categories.

All room allocations remain subject to availability and confirmation by Jacaranda Bush Camp.
